A photovoltaic systems operator developed a new business opportunity, which involves putting solar energy panels on residential buildings and then selling the electricity to the tenants or the power market.
They had selected 20 buildings and checked whether they would be suitable against a range of factors, including orientation to the sun and location. Agreements about using the roofs and lease payments have been signed. The operator was also in contact with the manufacturers of PV systems.
They submitted an enquiry to Westend Bank with their financing needs and presented a business plan with the feed-in tariff and lease payments. We calculated the viability of the financing, and following our successful due diligence, agreed the contract and arranged the loan.
